Employer deadlines

Employers sometimes impose short deadlines to accept a deal. While commercial pressure is common, you should not sign until you have received independent advice and understand the terms.

Reasonable requests

Asking for a short extension to obtain advice or clarify tax points is normal. Unreasonably tight deadlines can be pushed back politely in many cases.

Limitation dates

Do not confuse employer deadlines with tribunal limitation dates—those are separate and strict. Track ACAS and claim deadlines alongside negotiation.
